Anessa is a Myotherapist and Pilates Instructor and has been teaching and treating for 5 years. As a Myotherapist she is trained to assess pain syndromes and injuries as well as manually treat with massage therapy and rehabilitate with exercise therapy.

Anessa’s interest in this field developed out of a sporty childhood and the subsequent time with therapists for bodywork and rehabilitation from various injuries with the help of a variety of different health professionals.

From this, grew an immense appreciation for the essential role that manual and movement therapy have on restoring and maintaining the function of your body.  Allowing your body to perform and for you to live your best life.

Anessa believes that developing body awareness is key to a higher functioning and pain-free body that is able to cope with the various demands of your lifestyle.  Regular integration of bodywork and exercise therapy, that has been designed specifically for your individual needs is critical to maintaining our movement, especially as we age.

Anessa treats in the Muscle Medicine Method - thoroughly analysing her client's mechanics and movement issues and empowering them to become better movers. Ensuring clients are educated about their own bodies and play an active part in the process.

Recently Anessa started competing in dressage with her horse Zulu.  She finds the connection between horse and provides a great insight into the mechanics of human movement, adding another layer to her knowledge.

When she’s not working with her clients, Anessa can be found out in the fresh country air.  She's usually grooming or riding Zulu, camping or enjoying a trip to a vineyard. If it's too wet she’s most likely stuffing her face with delicious food while watching whichever series she is currently addicted to on Netflix!
